A place to land and connect with yourself and community.

Recognising wholeness

Homunculus House is a space to find resources and services that support you in receiving care and guidance in a therapeutic way. Homunculus is a part of the head brain that holds a map of the body. A little you inside you. Mindfulness and somatic practices activate the homunculus. Our aim is to encourage whole body healing through mind body spirit connection.

We believe that healing is a nonlinear and co-relational process. We need each other, including the natural world, to move towards a healthy and balanced wellbeing. We offer both individual and group therapy online and in person. We also deliver workshops and courses based around mindfulness and somatic practices to promote self care and deepen connections inwardly and outwardly.

TESTIMONIES

There was a power just in knowing this space existed for me to show up, as I am. Mykah held our group container with safety, professionalism, compassion and of course, queerness. The act of listening, and to speak in the presence of our all-queer group was the journey I needed. I explored, I took risks, I felt heard and my heart opened. -RJ

I have participated in two courses of the eight-week group therapy program with Mykah and cannot express with words how much gratitude I have for them and their work. In a group of gender diverse people, Mykah creates and holds a space for us to be ourselves, open and comfortable, and invites us to share but importantly compels us to listen, and when allowed to get curious about one another's experiences, we naturally learn from each other and grow. My experience has been very fulfilling. It has included sitting with others through their grief and better understanding my own, sitting with others through conflict and better recognising compassion, being in awe at others setting their boundaries, and bringing myself back into my body and checking in better with how I am feeling. For me, Mykah's work has instigated deep understanding and change. If this service is accessible and available, I definitely recommend it to others from my community. - Eleni

I had a transformative and emotional time participating in group therapy, which was facilitated organically and respectfully by Mykah. The relaxed environment allowed for people to open up and I really felt at peace in these sessions. - Lachlan

My experience of group therapy has been an ongoing journey of self exploration, compassion and deep learning. I am a repeat participant and have found that each time I have gone through this process I'm surprised about how different my experience is and how much I value being in community and connection with those around me. Mykah is an amazing facilitator who provides continued safety and holds the space with a sense of grace and strength. Most of all it's an opportunity to be vulnerable in a safe and open hearted space with the support of those on a similar journey. - Christine
